The Dominance Factor

In Humanities we learnt about what my Learning Profile was. Mine was FF. Here are a couple of things that my profile learns by.

1) I learn best when I can visually focus on and analyze the details information. When I focus on smaller details I tend to get better results in understanding the given work. As a visual learner I need to see the details in order to learn and I have the ability to learn step-by-step instructions. Since I am a kinesthetic person I need to touch or explore in order for me to organize and express information.

2) I need to focus a bit more because that lots of times tends to be a problem for me and it is then hard to work. I need to turn in my homework when it is due so that I don't get stressed. If I get stressed I will lose all my concentration and become more clumsy disabling me to many activities in school.

3) The strategies that might help me get focused and get some work done is listen to music whenever I get the chance because I get every relaxed and stress goes out the window. Also if I am relaxed I am able to physically and emotionally express myself better. Another good strategy is to sit in the front right hand side of the room in order to see the board and the teacher. Also from the brain gym I should try thinking caps.

4) I think my teachers should now this because they would now were to seat me in class and who to seat me with, and also how the instructions are put on the board so that I can understand them. This would help me improve a whole lot and my teacher would get a better result out of me.

Common Elements In Creation Myths

T.S Elliot once said " the roots that clutch all myths together". That means all myths have something in common and are all related in one way or another. Myths are past down centuries and therefor some have changed but all have the same thought and are so important to mankind.

Themes of sacrifice, void and creators are at the center of many creation myths, which is unusual because their ways of life and beliefs are so different.

A common element in many myths is sacrifice. For example, in the Chinese myth Pan-Gu sacrificed his life and body to complete the earth. In the Maori is another myth because the children want to me free from there parents and therefor they separate them and sacrifice there love and creating sun and earth. Therefore it can be said that even though these myths are from different places, and times, there are some kind of connection between them.

In the beginning of many myths there was nothing (void). For example, in the Mayan myth the earth starts with no form and only void. Later someway the earth gets created. Another example of this is the Egyptian myth. It starts with a empty space and then the god creates it self out of that. This proves that people from other countries, with different thinking share the same ideas.

A similar element in many myths is the start of the world by great creators. In the Inca myth the sun is very lonely and because of that he creates the moons planets stars etc. This is similar to the Chinese myth because Pan-Gu does the same at creating. As we can see many elements in myths started from great creators and they became more organized even though the places are far away from each other.

"A Myth is an image in terms of which we try to make sense out of the world". They help us under stand clues of history and uncover great information. Myths are not just some stories they are the keys to history.

My name

A name is not just something that your called, it your identity and who you are. In my case my name is Sanidhya and I love it, not because it sounds cool. Its because of its meaning. My name means to be close to good people and positivity. I think that very well fits me because I am always around nice people, my parents, my teachers and my friends. My full name is Sanidhya Mathur but I do have a nickname "choozie"

The reason I got that nickname was because a month before my birth my mom went to a check up on May 24 and the last time she was there they said I was going to be born on June 26. During the check up they realized that my mom was struggling because her blood pressure was high and there were some problems. The doctor came to a final dissuasion and said that my mom would have a operation the next day. After the operation, on May 26 1998, I was born a baby chick. I only weighed 2 and 1/2 kg and that is how I got the name Choozie, which means baby chick.

My Bag

My family is really important to me and thats why I put a picture of my parents. I didn't just do it because they were my parents I did it because they the people who helped me get to where I am today and they never well leave me alone ( not in a bad way). They are always by my side and are the most helpful people in the world to me.

Speaking of my family brings me to my other picture, a picture of my two pets "Coco and Chai". Keeping a pet means to have responsibility and I and think that having pets shows exactly that. Not only I have to feed them but I also have to treat them like my family and that means a lot of responsibility. Another reason I put that picture up is because I love pets and I think I am a very caring person.

I have also put a couple of my electronic items because thats me. In the free time I just live to listen to music and read or relax. I also love to chat with friends and thats a great why to keep in touch with distance friends and family.

I love sports especially rugby and basketball. I have loved basketball since I was 6 and I was influenced by my brother who later on showed me how to play. I love the sport not because I love to when but its the feeling that I get when I play it. Rugby is a sport that brings the tough side from me. In 6 grade I did not even bother about rugby and did not find it that interesting but then my friend Dara introduced the game to me and I found it great. I started to play rugby and enjoyed the feeling when you get tackled or when you tackle.

Some people think that key chains are something that is decorative and stuff, but to me it means something completely different. I love to collect key chains but not the fancy ones but the ones that have a symbol of were I got it from. One of my favorite ones is the Ferrari key chain and it shows that I had been to F1. Getting a key chain is like keeping memories that you well never lose.

I love magic and it always has interested me. Although I know in mind that its all fake but it always makes me think, how did he/she do that/ where is it gone/ is that possible. I practice magic allot and one of my all time favorite is the linking rings. They really catch my eyes and make me wonder because it involves the audience as well. Magic is very divorced because many religions have there on kind of magic.

Science is a subject that I love. I love it because every time you get to learn something new. Doing experiments is something that makes me exited and that's why I have lots of books on cool experiments. Doing them I get to learn more and have lots of fun while doing it.

I.S.K.L is not just a school with good facilities its a school withs lots of nice and hardworking teachers and amazing peers from divorced backgrounds. I.S.K.L is a great learning environment, I for one am lucky to be studying in this amazing place. Learning here has let me express my self and showed me important values.
